Robert W. Maver
A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997 , in Unity Church of Portland for Robert W. Maver , who died Dec. 10 at age 44.
Mr. Maver was born Oct. 26, 1953 , in Kearny , N.J. He married Sharon Curtis in 1972. He graduated in 1975 from Brown University . He worked for Mutual Benefit Life Co. in Newark , N.J. , and Kansas City from 1975 to 1993 and most recently was vice president and group actuary. He moved to Portland in 1994 and was vice president, chief financial officer and corporate secretary for Standard Insurance Co. He was a board member of Goodwill Industries of the Columbia/Willamette and St. Mary's Home for Boys.
Survivors include his wife; daughter, Christa of Princeton, N.J.; sons, Rob of Seattle and Ian of Beaverton; mother, Dorothy of Point Pleasant, N.J.; and sisters, Dot of Northfield, Vt., Carolyn Hastings of Streetsboro, Ohio, and Gail Carr, of Twinsburg, Ohio.
Interment will be private. The family suggests remembrances to the Robert Maver Memorial Trust in care of U.S. Bancorp. Arrangements are by Finley-Sunset Hills Mortuary.Submitted by:
